The G-12, a 64-foot diameter cargo parachute, is designed for medium-capacity use with the A-22 aerial delivery cargo bag and various platform-rigged loads. The G-12 cargo parachute assembly was primarily developed to decelerate and stabilize bulk-type platform air-delivery cargo loads.
The G-12 can be deployed individually or in clusters of two or more, depending on the total airdrop weight, and can be dropped from minimum altitudes ranging from 475 to 550 feet AGL.
In its basic configuration, a single G-12 can support a payload of up to 2,200 pounds; when deployed in a cluster of two (2), the assembly can support up to 3,500 pounds.
Capabilities and features: • Designed to decelerate and stabilize bulk-type platform air-delivery cargo loads • Capable of supporting up to 2,200 lbs individually • Can be utilized for the safe air delivery of fragile items
